Daniel M. Shin, Managing Director at KingsBay Capital
Daniel Shin has worked at various positions of multinational companies and high tech ventures. Most notably, Daniel worked as an executive director at BINEXT Capital (now, Daesung Private Equity), a leading int’l venture capital firm that has invested over 250 companies in the past 20 years. Daniel was the head of Silicon Valley Office overseeing 6 early stage venture investments. During his tenure, Daniel served on numerous boards and also advised senior executives of large conglomerates on new business creation and int’l business expansion. Daniel also worked at Accenture, CJ Internet, Verifia (acquried by Quova) and Dialpad (acquried by Yahoo.) Daniel received his bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University at Bloomington with 4 year faculty merit scholarship and also studied at the Harvard Business School – venture capital & private equity executive education. Daniel is currently residing in Seoul, Korea, and happily married with his beautiful wife, Grace.
